[on the parents who had adopted her at birth and adopted her aged 3] I am more interested in their childhood due to our decades-long differences. I imagined what it would be like being young in the 1930s and 1950s more so than other kids who were similar to me. Personal life. Olsen disclosed her sexuality in 2021, on the 16th April. Olsen announced in 2022 that Adele Thibodeaux, her partner of five years had left the partnership and that she was dating musician Meg Duffy, a longtime companion for several months in the year 2020. Olsen became known as a queer in the early 2021s and then announced her then-newish relationship on social media. Olsen was born and raised in St. Louis Missouri. She began her career in cafes in St. Louis during her teens. Later, she ventured into other businesses and established a network composed of artists who held similar beliefs. In 2006, she moved to Chicago and collaborated with Cali-based musician Emmett Kel to form The Cairo Gang. All Mirrors, her previous album from 2019, featured dark gothic-synth rock and moving excursions into orchestral pop. Big Time is the first record where Olsen sings explicitly about her queer desires. Olsen is a country singer as a traditional genre. This is logical in certain ways.
